Graduation Year Class of 1970
Date of Passing Jan 10, 2006
About Quiet and deep, Frank Low was known for winning the state championship for gymnastics and his artistic abilities in high school. Many remembered his love of surfing and he would spend summers down on the Cape with good friend Buddy Demeo. He was well liked, very humble, and went on to study cultural anthropology at UMass Amherst for a few years before meeting Karen Judd (class of 72). Frank was a Messianic Jew who dedicated his life to serving the Lord and teaching the Word of God. After they married in 74, they spent 5 years in school and preparation together, followed by 16 years in the jungles of Papua New Guinea--not as anthopologists, but Bible translators and teachers in a cannibal jungle tribe. After returning to put kids in college, Frank was diagnosed with brain tumors in 2004 and passed away in 2006. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, 3 children, Naomi who now lives in Upton, Jesse in Lansing, and Isaac in Hudson, plus 5 grandsons and 4 granddaughters that he will meet in time. Frank was 53 when he went to heaven, but his smiles and free-spirited energy are missed every day.
