About	IN THE CARE OF Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel Mary “Mitzi” Carol, 72 of Lansing, MI was born July 30, 1950 to Andy and Jean Carol and passed away on Friday August 26, 2022. Mitzi was a dance choreographer and instructor for many years. She was beloved by her many students. She was passionate, articulate, creative and generous with her knowledge and time – which made her a wonderful teacher. Along with her long list of accomplishments, she was sought after as a dancer, choreographer and director for many local productions both in the dance world and theatre. She dedicated nearly 20 years at L.C.C. as a faculty and always had her student’s best interest at heart. She also had a huge appetite for learning. She traveled all the way to Poland to study Mime. She received her Pilates Certification from NYC and brought that knowledge to spear head the Pilates Method at the MAC – Michigan Athletics Club. She always wore black, but she was the most colorful in every way! A quote from Shakespeare describes her well: “Though she be but little, she is fierce” Mitzi was the beloved daughter of the late Andy and Jean Carol; dear sister of Andrea “Dedee” (Joe) Serwa; and special friend and cousin to many. A visitation will be held Friday, September 2 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes – Tiffany Chapel 3232 W Saginaw St. Lansing, MI 48917. The funeral service will be held Saturday September 3 at 12:00pm with a visitation two hours prior at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes – Tiffany Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA or the Disabled American Veterans organization.
