About	Toni was a January '68 grad living in California. She worked for Toyota. Sue Margol, one of Toni's best friends, wrote: So sorry to inform you that our classmate Toni Knight passed away on Tuesday after a 2-1/2 year battle with ALS. Toni and I have been friends since kindergarten and it has been a heartbreaking experience to watch her deal with this disease. Toni succumbed to ALS on May 1, 2018. She fought a hard battle, but ALS won. ALS robbed Toni of the use of her hands, her feet, her speech, and ultimately her life. There is no cure for ALS. It is heartbreaking to watch. But there is hope. Together we can work towards a cure. Your donation will make a difference in a life. As you may know, there is no cure or treatment that halts ALS, a progressive disease that gradually prohibits the ability to walk, move, speak, swallow and breathe. But scientists that are funded through ALS global research program have made significant progress in understanding what causes ALS. Together, we can work toward a cure.
