Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 15, 1964, Nuu Faaola pushed through the ranks to become a renowned American football player. He is an alumnus of Farrington High School in Honolulu, where he laid the foundation for his successful athletic career.

After high school, Faaola attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, leaving a significant impact at the college level. His prowess earned him a spot in the 1986 NFL Draft. Selected in the 9th round as the 245th pick, Faaola soon found his footing in the National Football League (NFL).
