About	Brother, father, son, husband, teacher, friend to all, jokester, philosopher, theologian, world traveler, brave warrior and lover of life. The world lost a good man when Doug slipped away peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2018, after a long battle with prostate cancer. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Doug graduated from Fairmont West High School, Kettering, Ohio in 1974, and received his BA from Miami University of Ohio in 1978. He started his career teaching woodworking and drafting at Carroll High School in Dayton, Ohio for several years and later became Lead Travel Director at Maritz in Fenton, Missouri. His job allowed him to travel the world and meet and work with many fascinating people in exotic locales. Doug later became a real estate agent with REMAX Results, at the West County office on Manchester Road, so he could spend more time with his children, whom he adored. Beloved son of Walter (“Wally”) Everett Watson and Irvina (“Vi”) Mary Watson, Doug is survived by his daughters, Jenna, Julia and Erica Watson, his wife, Mary Emery Watson, his sister, Linda Troutman, and nephew, Aaron Troutman of Dayton, Ohio, his sister, Susan Alden (Watson), and brother-in-law, Jon Gobetti, of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as many wonderful friends.
