About	Vocational Ed. Charles ''Chuck'' Vesper, age 74, of Sun City, Arizona died suddenly at his home on Sunday evening, January 6, 2002. Mr. Vesper is survived by Jean Niemeyer Vesper, his devoted wife of 41 years; his sister, Mrs. Donald Imogene Johnson; two nieces, Leslie Vesper and Mrs. Joseph Julia Potter. A brother, Dale L. Vesper and a nephew, William C. Vesper preceded him in death. He was born in Troy, the third child of the late Amy Nichols and Carl W. Vesper. ''Chuck'' graduated with the Troy High School class of 1945. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving four years of active service in WWII and two more years on Reserve status. Following his return home, he entered Miami Ohio University, graduating with a Masters Degree in Education. Charles teaching career began at Troy High School bur soon transferred to Kettering, Ohio city schools until his retirement after 31 years in 1983. His special teaching and personal skills were in the Automotive and Mechanical fields and Building and Woodcrafting. He was an exacting builder of his own home and many friends thought themselves fortunate to have him ''lend-a-hand'' to their own projects. He would also be remembered in this area as Steward for Sports Car and Auto Club racing. In his retirement years, he became an avid player and follower of golf. Charles was a 32nd degree Mason and was active with the Shriners and Blue Lodge in Ohio and Arizona. Both Masonic Rites and the Military Veterans salute were included with the memorial service held January 11 at Sunland Lakeside Chapel, Sun City, Arizona. Burial will be in Cincinnati, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
