Served in the United States Navy onboard the USS Bulkeley DDG-84 during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom while on a 2006 deployment with the USS Cole DDG-67 after the Cole's 5 year return to the Middle East during its terrorist attack which killed 17 sailors in 2001.
