Ellet High School Alumni

Hi All!!
I was talking to the Ellet Band director yesterday and asking him if we could put together an Ellet Alumni Band to march in parades and/or half time shows some time. He was very interested in starting an alumni band and was hoping that someone would put forth an effort and get one together. He said he has been contacted by several alumni over the years who have asked about an alumni band, but no one ever followed through with organizing it. SO, I told him I would give it a whirl.
So, is anyone interested in putting together an Ellet High School Alumni Band? If so, please contact Jeanine Hill @ j9infinitygirl@sbcglobal.net or Mr. Adam Grom (Ellet High School Band Director) at: agrom@akron.k12.oh.us or check out the Ellet Music departments web-page at: Ellet.org/Music ,by July 1st, 2008.

We will have our first rehearsal with Mr Grom in Mid-July and we have the opportunity to perform at the Ellet v Springfield Football game to be played at Ellet on August 22nd, 2008.
Please let me know if you are interested and please pass this e-mail on to any other Ellet Alumni that you know. The Alumni Band is open to anyone who has ever graduated from Ellet and was in the marching band.

Scholarships include:
Raoul Bolock (with contributions in memory of teachers Nancy Fisher and Robert Rupp) given to a student who works behind the scenes to make Ellet better; Todd Seitz (Class of '94) given to a student who has overcome adversity; Ron Howell (teacher) given to a student in math; Gladys and Norvell May (Mrs. Baltrinic's sister and nephew) given to a vocational student. All donations are tax deductable.
