About	Reba M. Slocum, 64, devoted wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother, died unexpectedly February 3, 2007. Born in Akron, Reba graduated from Ellet High School and Southern Ohio College. She has resided in Mogadore since 1971 and was a member of Mogadore United Methodist Church, where she was active with the youth and children's programs. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, buying things for her grandchildren, and making a variety of crafts. Preceded in death by her father, John; she is survived by her husband, Fred Slocum, of 35 years; sons, Robert C. Duncan of Lakemore, David D. Duncan of Akron, and Scott S. Slocum of Akron; daughter, Marie E. (Charles) Peak of Donalsonville, GA; grandchildren, Emma Grace, Alexandria Faith, and Addison Reese Peak also of Donalsonville, GA; mother Freda M. Linger of Lakemore; brother Shawn Connell of Olympia, WA and sister-in-law Barbara Trophy of Denver, CO. Funeral service Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Mogadore United Methodist Church, 3828 Mogadore Rd., Mogadore, Ohio 44260 with Rev. Elizabeth Spiker officiating. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Mogadore Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue and one hour prior to the service at the church.
