About	Gary H. Wilkins, 57, of Greensboro, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009, at home. A private family service will be held. Gary was born in Durham, N.C., June 9, 1951, son of Ervin H. Wilkins and Ila Mae Wilkins. Gary graduated from UNC- Chapel Hill in 1973. After graduation he moved to Greensboro with his wife and accepted a position at McDaniel Lewis. In 1976 Gary was one of the founding principals of Independence Securities. Over his 25 year career in the brokerage industry he also worked at Scott & Stringfellow and Paine Webber. GO HEELS! Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Deborah B. Wilkins; his son, Stuart H. Wilkins and his daughter, Kathryn E. Wilkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the name of Gary H. Wilkins to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
