Scott Daly is a well-known American football player, born on February 7, 1994, in Downers Grove, Illinois. He is currently a long snapper for the Detroit Lions, demonstrating his impressive skills in the National Football League (NFL).

Daly attended Downers Grove South High School where his athletic journey began. He was not just a typical student; he exhibited outstanding skills in football and especially excelled in long-snapping, a talent he had been refining since the fifth grade. He played as a tight end and received All-conference and honorable-mention All-area honors in his junior year. In his senior year, he was named the national high school long snapper of the year and was ranked the number one long snapper in the nation by Scout.com. This led to his commitment to the University of Notre Dame in April 2011.

During his college tenure, Daly proved his mettle on the football field. He was recognized for his precision and consistency in long-snapping, particularly in his junior and senior years. He played a total of 39 games during his college career and made significant contributions, such as helping Justin Yoon achieve an All-American season and recovering a fumble during a critical game against Boston College.

After graduating, Daly was not selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, but this did not deter him. He had a rookie minicamp tryout with the Chicago Bears.
