About	It is with sadness, David Poynter, committed suicide in APR '99, leaving a wife and one child. I spoke with him ten days before he died, for we were planning to meet while I was in Norfolk on temporary duty with The Canadian Army, and he cancelled at the last minute. He was my Cadet First Sergeant in R.O.T.C. and had aspirations to be an Airborne NCO like his brother. David Poynter Friend- First Sgt. - Englishman Rest in Peace
