About Steven W. Allen 12/2/1952 ~ 2/7/2010 KAYSVILLE - Steven Webster Allen, born December 2, 1952 in Salt Lake City, son to the late Owen Dale and Connie Allen, died of a heart attack on Sunday, February 7, 2010 in Layton, Utah.He is survived by his wife, LaFon S. Allen and his children: Bryce D. and Jennie Allen, StacyAnn Allen, Craig H. and Lindsay Allen, Jonathan D. Allen, Garrett S. Allen and was a proud grandpa to Owen H. Allen. Steve also had two sisters, Sharon A. Barnett and Susan A. Ormond and one brother, Michael J. Allen. Steven was a draftsman by profession. He contributed to many projects, his favorites being the Las Vegas and Portland LDS Temples. A gifted artist, he could draw a perfectly straight line without using a ruler. He could often be found drawing intricate pieces of art which he would call "just a doodle". A lover of baseball and other sports, he dedicated his time to his children, teaching them the rules of the game. They have many fond memories of their Dad as their coach. Steve graduated from Davis High School, where he was involved in athletics. He still holds the record for the most consecutive pull-ups in a row. He loved living in Kaysville. After living and working here most of his life, he knew where any road in Kaysville led to. He served a mission for the LDS church in the California East mission and was then reassigned to the Washington mission. He later married the love of his life, LaFon, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He has held several callings and enjoyed being the High Priest Instructor. He was a man of character and respected by many. Steve always had some funny sayings and definitely would want his last words to be, "ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice." Our father, husband, grandfather, brother and son was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 12, 2010 at the LDS ward chapel, 50 West, Kaysville. Friends may call Thursday evening, February 11, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main, Farmington and Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
