About Event
Please join us on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 5:30 PM at the Birdsboro Fire Company for the 12th year celebrating the 1970's Alumni and attendees of Daniel Boone High School in Birdsboro, PA. This year, the class of 1972 will be celebrating their 50th reunion and the class of 1977 will be celebrating their 45th reunion. We are hoping for good representation for these milestone celebrations.
We have some exciting changes in store this year. Read on to find out what they are!
PLEASE NOTE: ANYONE WHO ATTENDED OR GRADUATED ANYTIME FROM 1970 TO 1979 IS INVITED TO ATTEND.
This year the cost per person has remainded at $40.00, while still being able to provide a quality buffet. Checks MUST be made payable to "The Daniel Boone 1970's Reunion" and mailed to DBHS 1970's Reunion, c/o Cindy Lafferty Kennedy, 521 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. All checks MUST be received by November 4th, 2022. If you are married, PLEASE include your maiden name and EVERYONE PLEASE include your graduation year(s). PLEASE NOTE: We WILL NOT be accepting ANY payments at check in.
As usual, a meet, mingle and reacquaint will start the evening off at 5:30 PM. Welcoming announcements and a blessing for the evening will begin promptly at 6:15 PM. The buffet will be served beginning at 6:30 PM. This year, we have Catering by John Lowe. The meal will include salad, roast sirloin, chicken piccata, baked penne pasta, roasted new potatoes, green beans and marinated spring vegetables, bakery fresh rolls and coffee and tea service. And, let's not forget the variety of mini desserts. Soda is included in the cost of the evening. A full cash bar will be available with 16 oz glasses of beer for $2.00 and a pitcher for $5.00. A selection of wine and mixed drinks will be available at various prices.
Our music this year is being provided by DJ Corey Thomas. Mingle/cocktail music will be played from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM. Dinner music from 6:15 PM until 7:15-7:30 PM, then party/dance music until 11:30 PM.
Our photographer this evening is again Serena. Class photos will be taken on the stairs beginning at approximately 7:30 PM.
This year, we thought it would be fun to try a THEME night. If successful, we are hoping to have a different fun theme each year. Participation is NOT mandatory. This year, the theme we chose is THE 70'S...DUH!!! So, if you'd like to participate, get out your gold chains, peace signs, head bands, gogo boots, tie dye clothing, flowers, hip huggers, bell bottoms, gaucho pants, platform shoes...whatever!!! LET'S HAVE SOME FUN WITH THIS!
Please come and join the fun! This is a great night to catch up with old friends, make new ones and create memories. The Crüe is extremely excited for this year. We are hoping to see many classmates who have attended in the past, and new classmates attending for the first time.
We do our best to obtain email addresses for classmates, however, that isn't always possible, and unfortunately, some email addresses I have are no longer valid. Therefore, an event page will be created on Facebook. The Evite will also be posted on classmates.com and https://alumniclass.com. In addition, on Facebook, it will be posted on the DB Alumni page, my timeline and The DBHS 1970's Reunion Page, (which, if you haven't already done so, please check out, "like" and "follow" the page). If you know someone interested in attending who may not have received the Evite or is not on social media, please call or text Cindy at 610-8558-7299 (please leave a message and your call will be returned ASAP if necessary) OR send an email to Cindy at "the70scrue@hotmail.com". You can also contact any Crüe member with information, questions or concerns. The following Crüe members can be contacted thru Facebook...Mike Kennedy, Judy Caldwell Fitzgerald, Kim Werner Pribish, Sandy Miller, Betsy Snyder Johnson, Rose Stercula Petri, Richard Weilacher, Gail Dengler, Paula Scibek Reinert and Steve Seyfert. Joanne Kennedy Oxenford is also on the Crüe, but not on Facebook.
