About Heaven gained another angel with her infectious smile & laughter, Dianne Marie Messenger, 76, passed away at Baystate Medical Center on December 8, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Springfield to the late Ulric (Al) and Anna (Gilmore) Peloquin on July 8, 1945. Dianne graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield and went on to graduate from STCC with an Associate Degree in Accounting. Dianne went on to work as a bookkeeper for a local construction firm, owning a small restaurant and catering service, and eventually working as a home health aide because of her ability to be so kind and giving to those in need. Dianne may have been short in stature, but she was larger than life, extremely courageous, and incredibly loving. Dianne loved painting and playing cards with family and friends especially at Partridge Hollow Family Campground and the Holland Senior Center. Camping and Ocean Cruising were her passions later in life. Dianne was also proud to be called an “Acre’s Mom” where she spent many years in a 16 Acres Springfield neighborhood raising her own children along with the other Acre’s Moms. Dianne is predeceased by her parents as well as her brother William Peloquin and Patricia (living), and her sister Nancy Baudette and Fred. She is survived by her daughter Donna and her husband Richard Moro of East Longmeadow, her only son Thomas and his wife Gina Messenger also of East Longmeadow, and her youngest daughter LeeAnn and her husband Russell Paulding of Springfield. Dianne “Meme” also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren along with a multitude of life-long friends and extended family. A “Celebration of Life” will take place at Thomas J. Sullivan Banquet room at Nathan Bill’s Bar & Restaurant 110 Island Pond Rd. Springfield Ma. 01118 from 12 noon to 4pm on Thursday December 16, 2021. Memorial donations in Dianne’s memory may be made to Griffins Friends Children’s Cancer Fund at Baystate Health 280 Chestnut Street 6th floor, Springfield MA 01199.
