Ranny was very involved with all aspects of the music program at CHS. He was 1st Chair-1st Seat Alto sax. He played in the pep band, marching, concert & stage band at CHS. He graduated as a Junior after receiving a full 4-yr scholarship in music @ UTC.
He was recruited by the USAF Band as a woodwind major. After serving his country Ranny worked as a Editorial Asssitant for a Music publishing company. It was during this time that he was a sought after Studio musician as well. He has recorded with several artist and has two full length recordings of his own. Ranny has been instrumental in organizing and leading many church orchestras as well. In Ranny's words: "Music has carried me down many paths on Life's Journey and opened up many doors of opportunity." "Music has remained my friend and companion for over 35 years."
