About	Obituary summary….Sherry grew up in Fort Walton Beach, graduated from the University of West Florida, lived in Atlanta, Georgia, New York, New York, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and returned to Fort Walton Beach, where she taught in the Okaloosa County School District. She suffered a catastrophic automobile accident in 1979, and battled chronic and sometimes crippling pain. Over the last two years of her life, she suffered from myeloproliferative disorder, a debilitating and rare blood disease. She is survived by her husband, John Rogers; her son, Jason Osborn and his wife Robin and daughters Hannah, Kate, and Emma; her son, Ryan Osborn and his wife Greta and son Duncan; her loving sister, Patricia Goodwin and her husband Bobby; her nephew, Trey Goodwin, his wife Krystle, and their children Alexia and Robert; her nephew, Parker Pelham Goodwin; and her namesake niece, Whitney Lynne Goodwin. I knew Sherry in 1968 and she was always so intelligent and beautiful. While I moved on to the Citadel Army Academy, I visited her and her family a few times. I am saddened by her passing and I know her husband and sons will miss her daily. Her father, Devon, was an amazing Christian father and embraced me for no earthly reason (my parents went back overseas and I was a rebel). He demonstrated such kindness and tenderness toward me that I could never understand, until I met Jesus. I will certainly see Devon again. (Wes Blizzard 68)
