The class of 1969 experienced history on a regular basis: The Summer of Love, the Tet Offensive, Nixon's rise to power, The Beatles' creative peak... very few spans of time can claim to have shaped American culture as much as the late 60's, and you & your Chartiers Valley High School classmates experienced it together.

hi everyone! it is luisa cohen (bucaresky) checking in......am securing a venue for the 50th, not sure how it crept up so suddenly......ewwwwww....anyhow, the date is 0ctober 12, 2019.........have stuff planned for the entire weekend, but have nothing finalized as of yet.......so sorry
i have called every place imaginable to have this event, and believe it or not, the only two that seem to be able to accommodate us are the doubletree at the airport and the doubletree in greentree....both will secure a block of rooms for out of owners and both have transportation to and from the airport........
i really put my "thinking cap" on for this one.......it's hard to take the kindergarten teacher away from me, my fellow teachers understand.......not sure of price as of yet as we are in middle of seeing what the venues will offer us.......more info to follow.....
* friday, october 11, 2019 is a home game which might be fun to attend and get recognized......lol...afterwards we could all go out to the saloon, or walnut grille, deblaze's, and a new watering hole which opened up at great southern.......too bad walt's or the lodge is still not in existence........grove is bt it gets jam jam packed and is really loud.............
*saturday, october 12, 2019........4-6 is a mini prom in our high school (ha)......no monkey suits or gowns, please.....just fond memories....no alcohol is served as state law mandates no alcohol at an educational institution, so water, punch, soda and cookies it is.......the superintendent told me that we could be escorted and shown around the school.....told her, we know the territory and she laughed however, i am sure we will be greeted warmly by the head honchos.....arrangements are also in the works to have tours through the new high school/ middle school if wanted........
*saturday, october 12, 2019........7:30---------the REAL REUNION........dinner will be served and a dj should be there.........
HOPE THIS HELPS ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN ASKING.......we really need a great turnout.....50 is something we should be PROUD OF.....please spread the news and if you need to reach me, my email is uscqtpie1@aol.com ( my 33 year old daughter gave me that in 5th grade and i am not changing it.....lol) my cel number is 724-712-7640..........having difficulty finding us all and getting email addresses.......MORE WILL FOLLOW....have a great weekend everyone and thanks for reading this!!!
I also think that we ought to invite whoever wants to come 67, 68, 69, 70......age is just a number, eh? what do you all think.....
