Graduation Year Class of 1967
Date of Passing Mar 10, 2016
About Age 66, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on March 10, 2016. He was born in Bridgeville, PA on August 23, 1949 to Albert Ross and Frances (Tolan) Ross. After graduating from high school and attending New Castle Business School, he served in the Army and deployed to South Korea. Albert then moved to Tucson, AZ where he owned a carpet cleaning business and worked at Tucson Electric Power. Al is survived by the mother of his children, Pamela (Luker) Ross, his two children, Ashley (Tim), and Travis (Brooklyn), five sisters, Catherine Geving, Patricia Oliver, Jean Schultz, Joan Severance, Maureen Werr and twin brother, Raymond, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved grandchildren, Adeline and Lincoln. He will be remembered for his undeniable charisma, competitive spirit, sense of humor, sensationalized stories, rabble-rouser nature, and the fierce love he had for his kids. Al also had a fond love for animals (especially dogs and the pigeons he raced competitively), the Pittsburgh Steelers, boxing, playing pool, the beach, and chocolate milkshakes. Pop had a profound impact on the lives of the individuals he was close to, particularly his children, for he shaped their futures for the better by showing them an endless supply of love, trust, and devotion. He was a kind and generous man with a heart that knew no bounds. He had a charismatic smile that could light up an entire room, and a quick wit that enabled him to maneuver through almost any situation without breaking a sweat. He taught his children numerous life lessons about the value of loyalty, the importance of staying true to one's self, extending a helping hand to those in need, and showing kindness to all living creatures. He showered his children consistently with support towards whatever passion or hobby they pursued, and gave words of encouragement whenever they were feeling blue or out of sorts.
