
Turner Construction Company Announces National Promotions
NEW YORK, June 19, 2002 – Robert E. Fee, president and chief executive officer, Turner Construction Company, has announced several executive changes at Turner’s business offices throughout the country:
Steven R. Berlage was promoted to vice president and general manager of the Michigan office; he was previously the vice president and operations manager of the Chicago office. Mr. Berlage joined the company in 1982 as a field engineer with the Chicago office. He progressed through various field and office assignments and in 1987 was appointed to the estimating department. Mr. Berlage moved to business development in 1990 and was promoted to senior project manager for the office’s Special Projects Division in 1993 and then, to operations manager of the Special Projects Division in 1996. He was promoted in 1998 to operations manager of the Chicago office. Beginning in 2000, Mr. Berlage served as vice president and operations manager of the Chicago office, his most recent position. Mr. Berlage holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Michigan.
