About Beloved husband and father Herbert Henry Hamlin, 93, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 3, 2022. Born in Clearwater, Florida, he moved to Central Florida in 1980 after living for many years in Charlevoix and Boyne City, Michigan. He was the son of the late William H Hamlin and Ethel Mae Hopper Hamlin of Charlevoix, Michigan. He served his country in the United States Navy. Herb was an educator with the State of Michigan Public School System. He was in the construction trade throughout his life, building and remodeling many of his own homes. He was a member of the Leesburg Church of the Nazarene. Through the church, Herb took several mission trips to Nicaragua, Venezuela, the Bahamas and other Caribbean islands, where he shared his construction skills. He loved a good road trip, travelling all over the United States to camp and visit family. Hobbies included tinkering in the garage on all sorts of projects. He held various leadership positions in the church, including minister of music. Herb was active with cub scouts and served as cub master for several years while his sons were young. Herb is predeceased by his Son, Arden (Jennifer) Hamlin of Mt Dora, FL and his Sister, Helen (Earl) Henshaw of Bainbridge, GA. He is survived by his Wife, Joyce Fiedler Hamlin of Eustis, FL; Sons, Tim Hamlin of Mesa, AZ, Thomas (Tricia) Hamlin of Tavares, FL, Aaron (Kim) Hamlin of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL; Daughter, Brenda (Kevin) Mulholland of Tavares, FL; Ten Grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Leesburg Church of the Nazarene at 2100 MLK Boulevard on Thursday, December 8 from 10:00 am until 10:30 am with services starting at 10:30 am.
