About Mrs. Novotny Dies Sunday

Mrs. Florence Novotny, 45, wife of Frank J. Novotny, died Sunday at the Charlevoix Hospital where she had been admitted Friday. She had been in failing health for several months.
Funeral services will be held at the See Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. G. D. Howell officiating. Burial will be in the Brookside cemetery.
Born in Charlevoix, April 15, 1905, the former Florence M. Holland graduated from the Charlevoix high school in 1924 and the Charlevoix county Normal School the following year. She taught in many of the rural schools in the county until going to New Mexico in 1942 with her husband, Mr. Novotny whom she had married on April 15, 1926. They then lived in Detroit for two years before returning to Charlevoix in 1946.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Pythian Sisters, the Rebekah lodge and the Past Noble Grand Club.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Katz of Adrian and Mrs. Luther. Ransom of Central Lake; and three brothers, William of Chicago, Nelson of Central Lake and Carl of Jackson.
