About	Tahnyah L. Newton, 74 a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home. A native of Howell, MI, she was the daughter of the late Paul L. Lambert and Evelyn Shield Lambert. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was a faithful Servant to the Lord along with her husband, Pastor Dr. Cecil Newton. She loved and cherished her family and was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be held Friday April 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in Oxford. Burial will follow at Meadowview Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Cecil Newton of the home; twelve children: Everette Lee Wilkinson (Cathy) of NC, Jonathan Wilkinson of CA, Tahnette Wilkinson of GA, Gennevah Dean of NC, Paul Wilkinson of MS, Tom Wilkinson of FL, Joshua Wilkinson (Meredith) of VA, Dorraelyn Robinson (Raymond) of NC, Cherolee Patel (Ricky) of GA, Benjamin Wilkinson of GA and Larreah Wilkinson of CO., Ruby Wilkinson of NC; step-children, Jonathan Newton (Mary Lou), Michael Newton -deceased (Amanda), Hannah Tippett (Phillip), Timothy Newton (Mandy); two sisters and two brothers; twenty -six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Everette Wilkinson and a son, Justin James Wilkinson. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Grace Baptist Church from 12:30 – 1:45 PM.
