About izabeth Crockett Obituary
Elizabeth Mae Crockett, 80 passed away on May 22, 2021 at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan.

She was born on January 3, 1941 in a little cabin deep in the wintery woods in Charlevoix, Michigan, to Susan and Thurlow McClellan.

Elizabeth grew up in the Charlevoix area where she attended Murray School until 8th grade, then attended and graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1959.

She then went to Life Bible College in Los Angeles, California. She was a telephone operator in the job she held while attending College. She attended a country church in the mountains just outside L.A, where she met a handsome cowboy named, Allen Crockett. They fell in love and married December 28, 1962.

They spent twenty years traveling across this great nation with the United States Air Force. Life was an adventure as they camped, fished, and explored every new assignment. They enjoyed music and the arts.

Upon her husband’s retirement, they settled back home in Michigan and returned to school. Elizabeth graduated from North Central Michigan College in Petoskey and Central Michigan University in 1988.

She worked as an Infant Mental Health Specialist in her career. She also worked in Civil Service with Government.

She enjoyed life fully. She loved traveling, reading, and social events. Great sales and garage sales were in her blood. She truly loved the fall holidays, especially Christmas, because they brought her family together. Her greatest love and joy was the Lord Jesus Christ, and her family.

Our mother was such a beautiful being. Her generosity knew no boundaries. She will be remembered for being a strong woman; strong in her faith, strong in her life. She was a Prayer Warrior who became a Christian at the age of 7 years old. Never once in her life did she separate from her faith.

Most will smile when they think of her smile and her enormous heart. She was funny, brilliant, compassionate, and graceful. She was a beacon of light in this world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and all who loved her. She made us laugh and she made sure each of us knew she loved us.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Joyce(Frank)Card, Judy Crockett, David(Melissa) Crockett, and Susan Crockett. Upon the death of her son Daniel P. Crockett, she raised her Grandchildren, Daniel J Crockett, Hailey Crockett, and Caleb Crockett. Her other Grandchildren who survive her are Danelle Crockett, Nikkole(Andrew) Mancour, Kelly(Kim Nichols)Garnett, Jennifer(Dominic) Schoech, Brady(Roxana)Garnett, Amanda Card, Frank Card Jr., Douglas(Kristin) Card, Chelsea(Marshall) Dutton, Jordan(Kelsey)Amrozowiczz, Samuel Crockett, Brian Crockett, Sierra(Curtis)Weber, Allen Crockett, Rylee Crockett, Grayson Crockett,, Mitchell Crockett, Brandan Crockett, Tealeigh(Ben) Sloma, and Thomas Crockett. Elizabeth was also blessed with 14 Great-Grandchildren. She leaves behind her sisters, Virginia(Don Chartier)Fields, and Carol Field. Brothers, Thurlow “Sam" (Joyce)McClellan, George(Terisita Chingwa)McClellan, and Stephen McClellan. She loved very much her great many nieces, nephews and cousins.
