About	Clayton Ward Jones, 66, of Charlevoix, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was born on December 28, 1955, on Beaver Island, the son of Cyril and Helen (Connaghan) Jones. Clay graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1974, and upon graduating, he joined the work force. He spent some time working oil fields in Texas, as well as working at the Holiday gas station in Charlevoix, but he made a career working as a layout specialist at DCL in Charlevoix for over 25 years. Clay loved to spend time with family at get togethers over the years. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, golfing, and watching basketball or football on TV. He kept to himself most of the time, however he will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Clay is survived by three brothers, Raymond (Kim) Jones of Charlevoix, Joe (Julie) Jones of Ellsworth, and Thomas (Teena) Jones of Hessel; his sister, Cathy Livingston of Charlevoix; six nieces and nephews, Aimee (Alan) Smith, Brian Livingston, Cyril (Kim) Jones, Dean (Mary Beth) Jones, Dalton Jones, and Chelsi Tieber (Darrin Sutton) who held a special place in Clay’s life; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Brandon Fisher. Clay’s family will celebrate his life privately.
