About	Ann LaRue Puffpaff passed away peacefully at the age of ninety, surrounded by her family Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Charlevoix Area Hospital in Charlevoix. Ann was born November 6, 1932, to Alfred A. and LaRue Gill. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Fritz Puffpaff, Daughter Colleen Puffpaff, and Sister Katherine E. Donaldson. Ann is survived by three children Debra Godfrey, Ann (Leon) Boettger and Kurt (Diane) Puffpaff, her two step sons Ron and Gary Puffpaff, eight grandchildren, Josh Godfrey, Jeremy Godfrey, Crosby Boettger, Amanda Lane, Austin Puffpaff, Sean Puffpaff, Blake Courtright and August Puffpaff, two great grandchildren, Maddison Lane and Ceriena Godfrey and Ann’s sister Mary Sue Breidenstein. Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and pillar of her community. Ann graduated from Charlevoix high school in 1950 and later that year she was crowned Venetian Queen. She attended Davenport in Grand Rapids Michigan where she met her husband, Fritz Puffpaff. After marrying they relocated back to Charlevoix where they later established Puff’s Appliance with Alfred and LaRue Gill. Service will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church on 200 State Street in Charlevoix on Saturday September 30. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. The memorial will begin at 1:00 PM and a luncheon will follow directly after in the church. After the luncheon burial will be held at Brookside Cemetery by the family and anyone who wishes to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, Donate - American Lung Association Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
