About	March 13, 2006 at 4:00 am, we received the call that changed our life forever, our Alyssa was killed in a single car accident in Spain. It was the American Consul in Barcelona who called us to let us know, my husband got the phone and just started screaming, then I had to talk to him. He explained that it happened on the road going from Barcelona to Valencia in the area of Tarragona. When he realized that we were really not able to talk about any details at that time, he offered to call us back, which he did. At that point, I just was not able to stand still, I called my sister and the kids and I do not even remember who else, after that, I continued to pick up and clean the house like a mad woman, while my husband sat on the sofa screaming away.
