About	David Lee Stephens, 59, passed away at his home in Charlo on Jan. 27, 2015. Dave is survived by his three sons, David, 27, and Jesse and Zach, both 26. Dave was born in North Island, San Diego, on March 26, 1955. He was the son of Bill and Joan Stephens. Dave attended Casa Roble High School in Orangevale, California, and graduated in 1973. Through the years growing up, he spent time with his dad fishing and bird hunting. He learned to love the outdoors. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Army for three years as an MP in South Korea. He was then honorably discharged. When he returned to California, he worked as a prison guard at Folsom Prison. Later Dave made the decision to move to Montana in 1978 to pursue his love for the outdoors. Montana is where he stayed. In 1987 his first son was born, and twin sons followed in 1988. They were all three the light of his life. He instilled in them how important it was to be honest and hardworking. He wanted them to be able to support a family of their own. He would always tell them to accept responsibility for their actions. After his first son graduated from Stevensville High School, he moved to Charlo. In Charlo he enjoyed many hours of hunting and fishing. This is what he truly enjoyed, and loved to share this with his sons. Dave was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bill and Joan Stephens. A private memorial will take place with family and friends Sunday, Feb. 15.
