About Me	Married my high school sweetheart, Ed Garman, in 1968; taught chemistry at Cary-Grove from 1968-1978; "retired" from teaching to have my children--son Karl in 1977 and daughter Kris in 1979; returned to teaching chemistry in 1982 at Crystal Lake South (CLS); became Science Department Chair at CLS in 1994; continued as Department Chair and chemistry teacher until retirement in 2005. Since 2005, I have done some subsitute teaching in my former department at CLS and occasionally at other District 155 schools. I have been enjoying retirement. We have travelled to Germany, Canada, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, Washington DC, Vermont, Maine, California, Washington, Oregon, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsi...(read more)
