What is Lexi Weeks (2015) known for?

Alexis "Lexi" Jacobus - the not-so-hidden gem of Cabot High School, Cabot, Arkansas. A girl built for the skies! She was born on November 20, 1996, in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Lexi is best known for her sublime skills in the sport of pole vaulting. She first came under the spotlight for qualifying to represent the United States in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. This feat was achieved when she finished third in the pole vault at the 2016 United States Olympic Trials. At the Olympics, she made her mark by placing 19th in Women's Pole Vault by clearing a substantial distance of 4.45 metres (14 ft 7 in).

Her prowess in the pole vault was not just a once off – Lexi was the first woman to win four NCAA Division I pole vault titles. She was a force to reckon with at the University of Arkansas, where she was a seven-time All-American and a five-time Southeastern Conference (SEC) Champion.

Lexi's record jumped to the next level at the 2018 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. She set a championship record by vaulting to a height of 4.66 metres (15 ft 3 1⁄2 in).

Not just in sports, Lexi kept her performance high in academics too! She was an exceptional student at the University of Arkansas, from where she graduated with a biochemistry degree and an impressive GPA of 4.0. Post her graduation, she took up a role on the coaching staff of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojans.

Over her career, she significantly contributed to the success of her teams and represented them in countless championships! Lexi's journey has truly been a soaring one, and she stands as a testament to the talent nurtured at Cabot High School.
