About Event

Hi Burroughs Classmates:

This is that magical year when the majority of us will be turning 65!!! So we want to throw a big party to celebrate becoming Medicare age  And where is there a great place to do that???  Well, Las Vegas, of course. We picked downtown Fremont Blvd. because the Fremont Experience Light Show has just been redone and is amazing.  There are so many fun things to do down there, great swimming pools at the Golden Nugget, great places to eat and drink, and gambling too for those that like to do that.

This is what we have so far.  We need to have a tentative headcount as far as interest and possible room requests by next Friday, Jan. 17, so that we can get a block of rooms reserved.

DATE: Thursday Oct 22 - Sunday October 25

PLACE: The Golden Nugget
129 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101 (Downtown/Fremont Blvd)

PRICES:

Carson Tower King Room:
Thursday 10/22 $59.00
Friday 10/23 $99.00
Saturday 10/24 $99.00

Carson Tower Two Doubles Room:
Thursday 10/22 $69.00
Friday 10/23 $109.00
Saturday 10/24 $109.00
13% tax and a nightly resort fee applies to room rates. They can reduce the resort fee for our group from $34 to $25!! (PER DAY)

THE HOTEL requires a signed room block agreement to move forward with the above rooms and rates; our group would be responsible to fill 90% of the rooms contracted. SO we will need to know how many of each room we want to reserve (King or Double) per night.

Their rates and availability do fluctuate daily, so we have to let them know how many rooms to hold by NEXT Friday, January 17th, if we want these rates.

Donna Skinner-Brown and I will then start working on plans for get togethers, dinners, etc. during that time frame. Downtown Fremont has been completely redone and has a lot of fun things to do. It is much cheaper to stay down there than on the strip.

Please let us know if you are interested, and if so what type of room you would prefer, 1 King or Double Room.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!! If you have any questions or input, be sure to let us know.

Barb Willis Maletsky and Donna Skinner-Brown
