Deborah Mae Goble, 63, of Burlington, died at 5:30 PM Sunday, June 12, 2011, at her home.

Born October 12, 1947, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Mae Carhoff Born. On December 10, 1966, she married Richard E. "Butch" Goble in Burlington.

Deborah was a secretary for Goble Construction and also did in home childcare.

She was a 1965 graduate of Burlington High School.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ where she founded and was a co-chair of the Kitchen Ministries and started "Lunch at the Top". She was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years, past leader of Girl Scout Troop #133, and a member of the Burlington Boosters Club. She enjoyed going to ball games and track meets, dance recitals, taking care of babies, and cooking. She especially loved being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Butch; three daughters, Jodi (John) Reusch of Burlington, Cindy (Stacy) Fox of Danville, and Abby (Jake) Richenberger of Burlington; six grandchildren, Hunter and Taylor Reusch, Drake, Drew, and Ella Fox, and Reese Richenberger; three brothers, Joe Born of Burlington, Donald Born of Beaumont, TX, and Jim Babcook of Florissant, CO, one sister, Judith Rheinholdt of Beaumont, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Goble will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 16, 2011, at First United Church of Christ with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held at First United Church of Christ following the service. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Inurnment will be at Blakeway Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for First United Church of Christ.
