About Me	I enrolled in UAH in the fall of 1980. I had no idea that it would take me 12 years to finish a four-year degree! I had to work while going to school and I was so busy at times with my jobs that I didn't have time for school. But, I kept my head down, gritted my teeth, and finally finished in 1992 with a BS in Computer Science. I worked in IT Support (Intergraph, US Army Corps of Engineers, Lockheed Martin) from the 1980s through the early 2000s. I left that industry with the intent of being a Medical Massage Therapist. I performed therapeutic bodywork on minor league baseball players, musicians, Broadway Theatre actors, and Huntsville engineers. I also taught at Virginia College and Madison School of Massage Therapy. At various times during this period, I had a part-time job at the Apple Store, taught SCUBA, volunteered as a SCUBA diver at the Space & Rocket Center and the Chattanooga Aquarium, operated a 501(c)(3) animal shelter, and worked as a counselor at Space Camp. In January of 2020, I was hired by the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Huntsville as the manager of their spa, but in March of that year, COVID closed the spa. I was furloughed, then terminated. I spent a year looking for work. In July of 2022, I was hired by Broadway Theatre League as a Patron Relations Specialist. I help people find seating within the VBC Concert Hall for the Broadway shows that we bring here. Once a year, our staff travels to New York City to view new Broadway shows with the intent of bringing some of those shows to Huntsville. I still work part-time at the Embassy Suites in an effort to keep those nice Hilton discounts! One constant throughout my life has been music. I performed on clarinet with Huntsville Opera Theatre from 1984 into the early 2000s. I have also performed in the orchestras for various high school theatre productions, local church services, and local groups performing at Panoply.
