About SFC Michael Charles Bruck died while being stationed at Ft. Knox, KY on June 15th, 2023

SFC Michael C. Bruck, a native of Broken Arrow, OK served as an Airborne Ranger Training Brigade Liaison Officer and Professional Development Non-commissioned Officer with the United States Army Human Resources Command and Infantry Branch at Fort Knox, KY.

SFC Michael Bruck attended Broken Arrow Public Schools, graduated from BAHS in 2003. Throughout his childhood, all 4 of us kids grew up working by our Mother's side when she owned Cookie's Thai Cafe for 35+ yrs, he joined the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, volunteered throughout the Community of Broken Arrow with various Organizations through Boy Scouts- even helped make boxes with the Blue Star Mothers in Boy Scouts, played soccer from the age of 5yrs old till he was 13 yrs old, played football while attending North Intermediate High School, then he found he niche and love for the game of Rugby. Michael was on the BAHS Rugby Team. During his sport career, he would run 10 miles a couple times a week from our house to our Mother's restaurant in Broken Arrow on 71st St. During his runs, is when he realized he wanted to join the Army to follow in our Father's footsteps.

After graduating in 2003 from BAHS, he went on a vacation to Thailand with our Mother. Michael is the only one who got to meet our Grandma, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He was there with Mom for a month. It was one of the best trip he has been on in his life, from massages on the beach, riding on elephants, walking to different booths on the streets of Bangkok, eating authentic Thai food, help Grandma make desserts to sale to the public, visiting different Wat Temples, and learning more about our heritage.

Upon Michael's return home from Thailand is when he really started running every day to be prepared before enlisting in the Army on August 21st, 2003. On August 22nd, 2003 he arrived at Ft. Benning, GA to start his Army career.

Little did we all know that January 7th, 2019 was the last time he would ever walk through the doors of our parents house. His dreams was to move back to Broken Arrow after his 20 yrs of being in the Army with his Family and his daughter.

June 13th, 2019 tragically his dream no longer became a reality. We never expected him to come home to us in an American Flag draped over his coffin on June 25th, 2019 by South West Airlines.

Being a Gold Star Sister, I'm making sure everyone knows his name and he is NEVER FORGOTTEN.
