About	Doug, a lawyer/mediator/arbitrator in University Park, Fla., died at age 59 after a 15-year battle with cancer. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and the Florida State school of law. He was commissioned in the U.S. Navy in 1969 and retired from the Naval Reserve as a commander in 1990. Also in 1990, he became a mediator for the Florida Supremen Court Circuit and participated in almost 1,000 mediations. Survivors included wife Cindy, three children and three grandchildren.
