About	Debora (Debbie) Was born February 15th, 1961 in Brainerd at St Josephs Hospital. She Had five brothers and two sisters. She had always lived in Brainerd until after her Graduation. She moved to Minneapolis and worked at Wuollet's Bakery as a cake decorator. She was an artist, and therefore specialized in putting portraits on cakes and truly loved her job. She attended a year of schooling at Resijarvi, Finland. When she returned she went back to work at the bakery. On December 1st, 1984 she married Mark Honkala and moved to Ishpeming, MI . They had one son Michael on Sept. 23rd, 1985. About eight months later Debbie had surgery for a cyst on her right kidney and all seemed good, four months later she began having problems again and was directed to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She went through surgery findind out that it was cancer that had metastasized to her liver. She never had radiation or chemotherapy,But went through several research programs not responding to any of them. She had a great desire to live and see her son grow and be with her husband. She passed away at the hospital at Ishpeming, MI on October 25th, 1988 Her son had just celebrated his third birthday. When we think of her now we remember her warmly. We cry and hurt, but it reminds us that she will always be a part of our lives and that she's special enough to care about. Time has healed us, but time has not made us forget.
