About	In Memory of Richard Joseph Joy August 13, 1982 - July 16, 2017 Obituary Richard (Ricky) Joseph Joy, 34 of Bourne, died unexpectedly in a car accident on July 16, 2017. Ricky was raised in Sagamore Beach where he attended Bourne High School as well as Wellington High School in Florida. He excelled in hockey and baseball. A competitive athlete, Ricky developed a love for and expertise in Mixed Martial Arts. He was truly passionate about sharing his love for the sport and trained young athletes which was one of his biggest joys in life. Ricky was also a voracious reader and deep thinker. At the time of his death, Ricky was currently looking forward to transitioning into real estate. His Mass of Christian burial was held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pocasset. Visitation was held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers, Please honor Ricky's memory by contributing to The Matthew Brandon Joy Jr. College Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 3106 Pocasset. Ricky's beloved two year old nephew. Arrangements were under the direction of Nickerson~Bourne Funeral Home, Bourne, Massachusetts.
