About	Cherie Ann (Sala) Rogers 1962 - 2006 Cherie Ann (Sala) Rogers of Buzzards Bay died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was 44. She was born May 8, 1962 in Stoughton to Gail A. (Bradbury) Sala and the late Charles J. Sala. Raised in Bourne, she attended local schools. In 1976, she was the first female to play Bourne Babe Ruth Baseball and was a graduate of Bourne High School, Class of 1980. She was employed by American Airlines for 24 years, a coach for the Bourne Youth Softball League, the Cheerleader Advisor for Bourne Pop Warner Football, and a member of St. Margaret`s Catholic Church. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox, the Patriots and NASCAR racing. She also loved being with her family and friends. Calling hours were held Friday, September 1, 2006 from 4 to 8 PM in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 10 AM in St. Margaret`s Catholic Church, 141 Main Street in Buzzards Bay. Burial followed at 1:45 PM in the Knollwood Memorial Park, High Street in Canton.
