Darlene Bowie

Class of 1970

Hello to all my Loveable classmates ( not to the bad ones) LOL
I'm Darlene, born in Oklahoma, raised there. Formed a singing group, named ourselves "The Crystals'. Had so much energy back then, had to do something with it, I even helped form our little " cheerleading squard, but too soon, since we 8 of us were only in elementary school, where there were no football nor basketball teams to cheer for. LOL.
But on over to Carver Jr. High school later, hoping to be chosen for an actual real Cheering team, and Luckily I was selected, but my mom was against the short mini skirts, showing too much, so I couldn't participate, sad for long while, but later "phew" I understood. So forming a Singing group, and wearing short shorts' saved us.
Ted Mack, a famous TV host out of Hollywood CA wanted our singing group to come and be aired on his show, but our mom said no, so group broke up, at age 17, so I later moved to Hollywood, and there We got signed with "Polydor Records" Major Record Co. same Company that James Brown and Janet Jackson, and The Main Ingredients, Cuba Gooding got us the contracts.
Lots of happiness then sadness. My twin passed on, and my energy' s been low ever since.
Well so much for my cares and woahs.
Love you all, signed; "Love Herself" ( Darlene Bowie)
