Jack Robinson, also known as John Edward Robinson, was an accomplished American professional baseball player who was born in Orange, New Jersey on February 20, 1921. He was raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey and is an esteemed alumnus of Bloomfield High School, graduating in 1939. He furthered his education at Bordentown Military Institute.

Robinson was a right-handed pitcher whose career spanned eleven seasons from 1941-1942 and again from 1946-1954. Notably, he played three games in the Major Leagues for the Boston Red Sox in 1949. Throughout these games, Robinson demonstrated impressive pitching with a win-loss record of 0-0, an earned run average (ERA) of 2.25, and a total of 4 innings pitched. Despite his brief stint in the Major Leagues, he left his mark on the sport.

Importantly, Robinson also served his country, enlisting in the United States Navy during World War II. In his later life, he moved to Ormond Beach, Florida, where he passed away at 79 years old on March 2, 2000.
