After his education, he was selected by the New York Knicks in the 7th round, 54th overall pick in the 1963 NBA draft. He held the position of center. His professional basketball career saw him playing for several teams, including the Twin City Sailors (1966 - 1967), Grand Rapids Tackers (1967 - 1968) and more notably for the Miami Floridians during the second half of the 1969–70 ABA season.
