About	Richard Brett Quarterman, 25, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the University of Virginia Hospital. Brett graduated from Blacksburg High School class of 2000 and also graduated from Virginia Tech class of 2004 with his B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. He is survived by his parents, Richard A. "Buddy" and Peggy M. Quarterman of Blacksburg; maternal grandparents, James and Tincie Mattox of McCoy; paternal grandmother, Naomi Allen Shaver of Blacksburg; his sweetheart, Ashley Mauter of Charlottesville; five uncles; four aunts; and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Centennial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in McCoy with Pastor G. Zeke Zanatos, the Rev. Gary McCoy, and the Rev. Gordon Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Centennial Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashley Mauter Account Fund, c/o National Bank of Blacksburg, 100 South Main Street, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Friday, and the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
