About	Joey Andrew Turman, age 56, of New Castle, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his home. He was born in Radford, on June 12, 1956, and was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Dot) Shrewsberry Turman, and a sister Iris Nadene. Joey was a former employee of the Radford Arsenal. He is survived by his wife: Judith (Judy) Turman, of New Castle; father, Roscoe N. Turman, of Prices Fork; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Barbara Turman, of St. Charles, Mo., and Charles and Diane Turman, of Boones Mill; sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Josie Turman, of Johns Creek, Travis A. Turman, of Craig County, and Tommy A. Turman, of Newport. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Wertz. Interment will follow in the Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, July 6, 2012, and from 9 a.m. until service time at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Craigs Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
