About	Joan Sifford Orange, 51, of Fries, formerly of Blacksburg, died, Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born in Montgomery County, Va., on May 14, 1956. She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Jarrell Sifford; maternal grandmother, Issie Jarrell. She is survived by her father, Curtis Hoge Sifford, Sr. and companion, Joann Rowe, of Glen Lyn, Virginia; maternal grandfather, Ed Jarrell, of Blacksburg; daughters and son-in-law, April Orange, of Christiansburg, Becky Newberry and husband, Charlie, of McCoy; son, Andy Orange and companion, Amanda Spencer, of Galax, Va.; grandchildren, Lacy Custer, Gladys Newberry, Destiny Newberry; brother, Curtis Hoge Sifford, Jr. , of Pembroke, Va.; niece, Amanda Sifford; nephew, Christopher Sifford; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; also survived by loving companion, Herman Sturgill Osbourne and his family, Sarah and David Smith, Junior and Tammy Osbourne and daughter, Ashley, Mazie and Billy Guthrie and sons, Ethan and Nathan, Marie Reyes and son, Dakota , Randy and Linda Osbourne; and special friends of the family, David Custer and Christine Roberts. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Stan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call any time after 12 noon Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
