About	Harvey Douglas Keen, age 60, of the Clarks Valley section of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Friday (December 6, 2013) at his home. Born June 29, 1953 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Robert Linkous and Elease Whited Keen. A 1974 graduate of Blacksburg High School, he attended McGlothlins Chapel. He had formerly been employed as a coal miner and prior to his illness, as a welder with Line Power in Bristol, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Allie Gray Keen Eichelberger. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Debbie Grissom Keen of the home; two daughters, Lisa Keen Peck of Swords Creek and Donna Keen Mullins of Abingdon; four grandchildren, Kimberly Peck, William Peck, Kristin Roberts, and Tara Mullins; five sisters, Ella Mae VanDyke of Lebanon, Eunice Beatrice Keen Ray and husband, Gene of Richlands, Oma Jane Keen Ferebee and husband, James C. Ferebee, Jr. of North Carolina, Nell Fern Keen Stallard of Lebanon, and Nancy Carol Keen Ball & husband, W. Michael of Honaker; six brothers, Alfred Lee Keen and wife, Sue of Cedar Bluff, Robert Elden Keen and wife, Wilma Jean of Swords Creek, Vernie Louis Keen and wife, Betty of Crossville, Tennessee, Wylie David Keen and wife, Polly of Raven, Terry Linkous Keen and wife, Rita and Howell Preston Keen and fiance, Brenda Bullion all of Swords Creek; special friends, Lucky and Nemo; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Rhondo Reynolds, Rev. Gary Reynolds, and Rev. David Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Sunday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
