About	Nicholas J. “Nick” Billy, 62, of Homerville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at Lodi Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1946, in Cincinnati to John and Mildred Smerk Billy and resided in the Spencer and Homerville areas. He graduated from Brunswick High School in 1965 and entered the Air Force in May 1966. Mr. Billy worked as a plumber and at the Akron General Health & Wellness Center in Montrose for the past 12 years. He also was a Spencer auxiliary police officer. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians. He was an avid hunter and golfer. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen; children, Nicholas M. Billy of Spencer and Amy (Mike) Hardin of Akron; eight grandchildren; and many other family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Nancy Billy. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. Father Ron Bryda will officiate. Burial: Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. Visiting hours: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
