About	Obituary for Gordon Forrest Parr Gordon Forrest Parr, 62, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He was born on October 20, 1953 in Charlotte, the son of Richard and Dorothy (Pratt) Parr. He loved spending time with his son and grandchildren, family and friends; cutting wood, fishing, horseback riding, driving his quads, and tractors. He was well known for helping his friends and neighbors. Gordon retired in October from Cheney Limestone as a heavy equipment operator after 42 years. Gordon is survived by his wife Bonnie (Madry) Parr; son, James (Rebecca) Parr; grandsons, Cameron, Gage, and Ryan Parr; granddaughters Mandy and Kaitlin Parr; step-grandchildren, Adam Tuttle, Ashley Tabor, Katelyn Keller, Kelsey (Aaron) Cohoon; and 4 step-great-grandchildren; sister Connie (Gary) Neff; brothers Mike (Sue) Parr, Doug Parr, and Jeff (Nancy) Parr. He was preceded in death by his son, Dustin J. Parr; mother, Dorothy E. Parr; and father, Richard E. Parr. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 7 from 1-3 PM with the funeral service following at 3 PM at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte. The family has suggested memorial contributions to American Heart Association or American Asthma Foundation. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
