About	Costas "Gus" Angels Concord – Costas "Gus" Angels, 74 passed away at home unexpectedly on February 26, 2021. Gus was born on February 13, 1947 in Dutchess County, New York. He was one of three children born to the late Jack and Connie (Angelo) Angels. Gus graduated in 1965 from Beacon High School where he excelled on the football team. He went on to attend Pace College after which he worked in the family business, Table Talk Pie Distributors. He and his family were members of Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church where he married his bride, Donna Hutchings Angels, on February 14, 1970. While living in the Hudson Valley, Gus was very active in the LaGrange Softball League. In September 2001, Gus and Donna moved to Concord, N.C. and became a part of that community. Gus was a big man with a gentle heart. He was devoted to his family and a great lover of animals. Gus is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna; daughters, Nikki Angels-Stringer(Christian) of Averill Park, NY, and Beth Angels-Dow of Millerton, NY; grandchildren, Marissa Dow and Kristofer Dow; sisters, Barbara Phillips of Highland NY and Ann Marie Faust of Wappingers NY; as well as several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews. Adhering to Gus' wishes there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis TN 38105-9959. Attn. Memorials.
