About	Barbara Ann Harrison McCarty March 17, 1950 - August 14, 2016 Barbara Ann Harrison McCarty passed away on August 14, 2016, at 12:33 a.m., in Round Rock, TX. The viewing visitation will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at 6 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. The memorial service will be Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 3 p.m., officiated by Pastor Michael Wright. Both will be held at Cook-Walden Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Austin, TX. An additional memorial service will be held in her hometown of Bay City, TX, on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 10 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Barbara was born to Frank Thomas Jr. and Carmel Harrison on March 17, 1950. She married Pat McCarty on May 19, 1973. Barbara fought a valiant fight against Alzheimer’s for the last 14 years and peacefully passed with her three children by her side. She enjoyed watching her children play sports, bowling and outdoor activities of all kinds. One of her favorite memories was when she hunted alligators with her father. She will be remembered for her heart of gold, quick wit, strength, and the love she had for her family and friends. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Frank Thomas Harrison Jr. Barbara is survived by her husband, Pat McCarty; and three children and spouses, Kathren McCarty and Julie Wiernik, Patrick and Bridget McCarty, and Kyle and Lesley Jordan; brothers and sisters, Tommy, Mary, Hurschel, Melissa and George; mother, Carmel Harrison; mother-in-law, Elaine McCarty; and nine grandchildren, Ashton, Brayden, Gabrielle, Jacob, Nathan, Robert, Breann, Colton and Daelyn.
