About	Courtney P. Grover III, passed away early Tuesday morning from complications of the heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Courtney Perry Grover, Jr.; mother, Marian Bruce Grover; and sister, Marian Ashford. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Canales Grover; son, Harrison Grover; step-son, Hunter Canales; sister, Barbara Morris; brother, James Bruce Grover and wife Suzanne Savage Grover; mother and father-in-law, Rafael and Martha Canales; brothers-in-law Inmar and Alexander Canales; sister-in-law, Norma Laraand; and many nieces and nephews. Courtney grew up in Bay City, Texas and graduated from Bay City High School in 1965 and then continued his education at the University of Houston. He then sought his law degree from Wittier College in California in 1981. Upon graduation, Courtney joined the Houston law firm of Crain, Caton, James, and Womble where he practiced commercial real estate law for several years and then created a company to manage real estate portfolios. In 1993, he met his business partner of 18 years, Mr. Al Brende. In 1997, they formed The Land Tejas Companies who developed single family communities throughout the Houston area with the theme of gated communities known as Canyon Gate. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon until seven o'clock in the evening on Friday, the 28th of August, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 29th of August, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2200 Avenue E. in Bay City, where The Rev. Bradley J. Sullivan, Rector, is to officiate. The interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery in Bay City
